Catching Up!!

Let me catch everyone up to speed in our life. We moved to Dan and Liz's house right before the Fourth of July. We moved all the big stuff to the other farm house during that time. The guys started to work on the roof. We now have a beautiful green metal roof. We moved into the house July 18 I believe. Don't quote me!! We enjoyed and appreciate the time we spent at Dan and Liz's but We were ready for the kids to have there own bedrooms and for us to have an actual bedroom without a kid in it!! Yeah!!

Braden will be 7 months old on the 11th of August. He is growing up way to fast. He is in 6-9 month clothing but those are quickly getting to small. On July 24th he had his 6 month check up. He weighed in at 18lbs 4ou and he was 27 1/2 inches long. He is crawling and he has two teeth. He is a happy baby unless hungry, needing a diaper or nap. He has because such a great joy to have in our lives. He has started to babble he says mama I don't know if he knows what he is saying, but hey he said mama first.:-) He loves to eat food and had his first Cheerio on Friday the 1st. He wasn't to sure about the cheerio but he got the hang after a few. On Wed the 30th he pulled himself almost to a complete standing position at Nana's house. She has drawers with handles in her dining room and he grabbed the first one and then reached up and grabbed the second one. Way too cute!! Braden still does not sleep all the way through the night but he does only get up 1 maybe 2 times so it isn't that bad. He takes really good naps and he loves to sit up and play like a big boy.

Braxtyn turned three on the 21st of June. She loves to go swimming and play on the tire swing. She is very independent and she unfortunately is a really good manipulator(sp?) She can be so sweet and loving, when she wants to be. Her favorite song is "its me oh Lord" and she also loves Accapella. She loves puzzles, games, dolls, and she loves to sit on our lap. Her hair is getting longer but it is staying curly at the ends.

Brooke can't wait for school to start. She loves learning and she loves to do art projects, She paints often at Nana's house. She loves to sing and she loves to dance. We are going to put her in dance hip hop this fall. She loves to flip around the house she would do really well in gymnastics.
One of her favorite things to do is sit play with Braden. She is a big help. She will move him nicely when he crawls near something he should not be by. She took swimming lessons this summer and this year she loves to get into our pool. Last year she would only stand and hold onto the ladder. She still does not enjoy going under water but she is learning. She also learned how to ride a bike with no training wheels. The other day I asked her if she wanted to ride Blake's bike that has no training wheels and she said "I can't it is a boy bike! You should bring my girl bike over."

Blake has been enjoying the pool this summer. He loves to flip over and dive. We went to the pool and he loved jumping off the diving board and swimming in the deep end with Chad. He enjoyed playing T-ball and playing some playstation. He loves the playstation game Lego Starwars. He was behind at the end of the school year so we have been working throughout summer on his reading and math. He does well in math but reading is a struggle for him. I think he has improved some but he really doesn't like school work. He helps Chad and Grandpa on the weekends with house projects and he helps Nana with house chores. He would also like to be in gymnastics so we shall see. Last week he lost one of his front middle tooth. The new one is already coming through. One thing Blake hates the most is going to the Dentist. Well, last week I made the dreadful trip with him and Brooke to the dentist. And they both did great. They loved Terri, she is a really nice and good dentist. They both have excellent teeth and she said keep up the good work. Yay!! no cavities!!

Nana (Liz) had foot surgery two weeks ago and she has been trying to let it heal. It is a slow process. She does so much for us and we appreciate everything she does. Even when she should slow down one still can't get her to slow down. She a better drive than most. I did try and help her out by cooking some meals and being available for whatever. She doesn't like to ask for help. I have to make her sit and then I ask her what she could use. She will be returning to work on Monday. Tom. the 3rd of August is Dan and Liz's anniversary 45 years. Amazing how fast the years go by. They are going to Scotland in November so it will be there get away. Happy Anniversary!! We Love you both.

Thanks Amy. We love having you all close to us. I miss you all when I'm gone for a day or so and then I miss you all when you are away for an hour or two when I'm at home. I enjoy the kids so very much and thank you for allowing me to be a big part of their/your lives. The Lord is good. He has blessed you with four beautiful children. As parents, g parents, we keep learning more and more from the kids everyday! Thanks for all you have done for me in my recuperation after the foot surgery. I have over three weeks left to wear my big boot yet!
